In 1984, the town of Pinetop - Lakeside sprang into existence with an adjoining to the town of Lakeside. Located among the much-revered White Mountains, Pinetop - Lakeside has subsequently become a popular resort area for both residents and visitors. Lakes, forests, and snow-capped mountains make for a wealth of recreational activities.
It hasn’t been all sunshine for the town, however. In 2002, a devastating forest fire forced Pinetop - Lakeside’s residents to evacuate. They were quick to restore the damaged properties, nevertheless, and rebounded with panache.
